JBL Says He Was ‘Blown Away’ By MJF

Following MJF’s injury at AEW’s Worlds End event, the former AEW World Champion has been missing from AEW programming. Reports suggest that MJF is taking time off to recover from his injuries. Amidst this hiatus, JBL has publicly expressed admiration for MJF.

WWE Hall of Famer JBL recently shared his thoughts on former AEW World Champion MJF during an appearance on Peter Rosenberg’s Cheap Heat podcast.

JBL recalled meeting MJF in England and was highly impressed by his demeanor and curiosity and how MJF asked about Roddy Piper and being a heel.

“I got to meet MJF over in England. Blown away by him. What a great guy,” JBL said. “And the questions he was asking — very intelligent. He was asking stuff about Roddy Piper and being a heel. We shared a car ride together back to the airport. Really smart, young guy. I’m a big fan of him, personally. There’s some pretty good heels out there.”

MJF was also spotted with sling during his AEW hiatus as well. It remains to be seen when MJF will make his triumphant return to AEW television, as fans definitely miss him now.
