Jey Uso lost his opportunity to for the World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest at WWE Backlash 2024. Drew McIntyre was initially supposed to be a part of the King of the Ring qualifying match but the lack of medical clearance forced WWE to pull him out from the card.

Soon after, it was revealed that Jey Uso would be replacing the Scottish Warrior in the KOTR qualifying match. With McIntyre’s replacement being one of his arch rivals, the angle built up to use in the future was exciting.

Jey Uso having a problem with Damian Priest lately made it clear that he would love to take Finn Balor down and get an opportunity to win the tournament. In one of the most entertaining matches of the night to kick things off, Jey Uso defeated Finn Balor to advance in the tournament. The former Bloodline member would now face the winner of Ilja Dragunov vs Ricochet in the tournament.

With his match against Balor, it is clear that Jey Uso is still not done with the Judgment Day. It would be interesting to see if Uso managed to end up being the star representing the red brand in the finals of the tournament.
