WWE fans were met with disappointment as the company announced a new round of talent releases. The previous wave of releases saw several well known stars let go, including Xyon Quinn, Jinder Mahal, Von Wagner and then, Cameron Grimes. Right after his WWE release, Grimes’ first post-WWE appearance has been confirmed.
Cameron Grimes became a popular name during his time in NXT because of his high energy and infectious personality. It also helped that his feud with LA Knight was simply fantastic, but all of that changed after he was called up to the main roster as he never got a proper opportunity there.
Grimes was full of tears and very dejected when he released he was released by WWE last month. Elevation Pro Wrestling took to Twitter and announced that Cameron Grimes, now known as Trevor Lee, will be making an appearance at their Homecoming event in Lexington, North Carolina, on July 27.
