WWE fans received disheartening news recently as the company announced another round of talent releases.

This came as a disappointment following a previous wave that saw the departure of several notable stars, including Xyon Quinn, Xia Li, Jinder MahalVon Wagner and then, Cameron Grimes.. Regrettably, the trend continued with WWE announcing additional talent releases today, exacerbating the situation.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has confirmed the release of several NXT talents in this latest wave. Among those departing are Ezekiel Balogun, Julian Baldi, Trey Bearhill, Emmamaria Diaz—who garnered attention through the WWE Roku Channel series “WWE: Next Gen”—Valentina Feroz, Drew Gulak, Keyshawn Leflore, Darrell Mason, Vlad Pavlenko, and Kiyah Saint.

These releases underscore WWE’s periodic adjustments to its talent pool, reflecting the company’s evolving strategies and business imperatives. While some of the released talents gained prominence through their participation in WWE’s Roku series, others were active competitors in NXT. Drew Gulak’s departure may not come as a shock to fans, particularly in light of allegations made by Ronda Rousey, but it is nonetheless saddening.

The announcement has sparked speculation about the future trajectory of WWE’s NXT brand and the potential impact of these departures on upcoming shows and storylines. Wrestlers being released is always a challenging aspect of the business, and one can only hope that each of them finds a promising opportunity elsewhere.
