Michael Cole, widely regarded as the voice of WWE, has expressed his passion for the business and it appears he will no longer be performing his duties when it comes to managing announcers.

PWInsider reports that Michael Cole has “pulled back” from his duties in managing WWE announcers to focus more on his role as the lead announcer for WWE Raw and Premium Live Events.

Sue Cundari will now take over the management of announcers for Cole. Cundari, who joined WWE in 1995, holds the title of Director, On-Air Talent Operations, and brings a wealth of experience to the position.

”PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources there have been changes made within WWE when it comes to managing announcers.

Michael Cole had held that position for a long time, but we has been told that Cole has pulled back from those responsibilities in order to concentrate fully on his duties as a talent, specifically as the lead voice on Monday Night Raw and PPV events.

We are told that this was a Cole decision and one the company had no issue with.

The word making the rounds is that Sue Cundaro, who has been with the company for a long time and worked with Cole in managing announcers, has taken over his former responsibilities.

Cole has been with WWE since 1997 and became a lead announcer in 1998, initially replacing Jim Ross on WWE Raw before taking the helm on WWE SmackDown when it premiered in 1999.

By refocusing on his on-air duties, Cole can continue to be the prominent voice for WWE broadcasts while Cundari handles the operational aspects of managing the announcers and it is likely this is for the best.
