WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley is a veteran in the world of pro wrestling and has competed in several promotions during his career. He recently returned to WWE and now it appears he wants to be a part of Triple H’s era of WWE for good.
Fans were simply shocked when D-Von Dudley resigned from the company last year. This came after he reportedly wasn’t allowed to attend an ECW Reunion show, and Triple H allegedly threatened to fire Dudley if he did the event.
D-Von Dudley made appearances on both nights of the 2024 WWE Draft, presenting some of the draft picks alongside his longtime tag team partner, Bubba Ray Dudley.
In an interview with Simon Miller for WhatCulture Wrestling, D-Von Dudley was asked if he would consider returning to WWE and whether the opportunity had presented itself. He indicated he was open to the idea, stating that he has no animosity toward WWE.
“Yes, but I haven’t done the Triple H era. I’ve been through the Vince era, but I would love to get a crack at…maybe even possibly doing the Triple H era, so to speak. You never know. I had fun when I was there, even during the Vince era. At times, it was extremely stressful, but we got through it and did what we had to do. But I never just got a chance to feel that new era,“
It’s an opportunity that, if it presents itself, so be it. I’m not gonna sit here and not listen and make a business decision. There is no beef on my part with WWE. I went on Twitter and I announced that, this and that. I had fun with everybody that I worked with, whether it was in the ring or outside the ring, had no issues with management or anything. It was just time to part ways and we did.”
We will have to wait and see whether D-Von Dudley will end up returning to WWE in a full-time role eventually, as his veteran knowledge would certainly come in handy big time.
