Bryan Danielson’s Status Amidst Injury Hiatus After AEW Dynasty Revealed

Bryan Danielson’s performance at AEW Dynasty was outstanding, but it was marred by an injury scare during the match. His status during his absence from AEW television has now been revealed.

The high-octane match between Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay at AEW Dynasty had the audience captivated, but the excitement quickly shifted to worry after Ospreay hit the Storm Diver 91, leaving Danielson attended to by officials. Danielson’s condition overshadowed Ospreay’s win in the end.

The American Dragon was then tended to by medical officials right after the match. This even made Will Ospreay decided to retire the Storm Driver 91 entirely, after what happened to Danielson.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bryan Danielson is taking time off, with the storyline explanation centering on the neck injury because of Ospreay. While it’s all part of the script, the real reason for Danielson’s break is his need for rest after a period of intense wrestling.

”Bryan Danielson is taking time off as they are using the Storm Driver spot in the Ospreay match with the idea he has a neck injury. The move was actually done safely and Danielson landed on his back. But Ospreay is doing an angle that because of what happened to Danielson, he’s never doing the move again. It’s all storyline but Danielson has been going at it hard so he’s going to be getting a break.”

Bryan Danielson is also not cleared to travel after AEW Dynasty. Regardless, we will have to wait and see when The American Dragon will return to AEW television, as he will likely involve himself with Will Ospreay again after he’s back.
