Austin Theory possesses immense potential and is viewed as a rising star within WWE, but he is never afraid to call out those whom he feels do not give him the proper respect. That’s exactly why he berated an interviewer for getting his WrestleMania achievement.
Austin Theory was heavily pushed until last year, even successfully defending his United States Title against John Cena at WrestleMania 39. However, the experiment wasn’t very successful, as Theory struggled to connect with viewers.
Thankfully, things are better now as Grayson Waller and Austin Theory were honored with the new WWE Tag Team Championship following their victory at WrestleMania 40.
While speaking to the Ten Count media, Austin Theory was asked about his tag team title win this year at WrestleMania. However, the interviewer mentioned how the only moment Theory had at WrestleMania 39 was him getting stunned by Steve Austin. Theory scolded the interviewer and pointed out how he beat John Cena and wondered if people in France just forget things.
“You saying that was my last moment? Because the last moment I had was when big old Hollywood movie star John Cena was down at my feet. I was holding up the title—that was the last moment. So, you know, Mr. Journalist, if you want to get it right, you gotta get it right. You, you—did the whole world forget? Is that what they do over here in France? They forget? Is that what’s going on? Because I don’t think anybody forgot that I beat John Cena. John Cena.“
“This guy sucks, alright.”
Austin Theory knows how to get under the skin of anyone and that also includes interviewers. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for Theory and Waller as the tag team champions.
