Vince McMahon, the former board member of TKO Holdings, is currently dealing with sexual trafficking lawsuit which has changed the course of WWE for good. John Laurinaitis decided to corroborate with McMahon on the lawsuit and now McMahon’s lawyer has now released a statement on the matter.
On January 25th, Janel Grant, a former WWE staff member, filed a lawsuit against WWE, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon, alleging incidents of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking dating back to March 2019. The lawsuit contains grave accusations against these high-profile individuals, shedding light on significant misconduct within the company and calling into question the safety and integrity of the workplace environment at WWE.
As previously reported, Vince McMahon has filed a motion to compel arbitration in the Grant v. WWE et al. case, where he denied Grant’s claims of sexual abuse and coercion, among other things, which got response from Grant’s lawyer.
John Laurinaitis’s attorney, Edward Brennan, has released a statement confirming that Laurinaitis has filed a motion supporting Vince McMahon’s request to move the case to arbitration.
Vince McMahon’s attorney, Jessica T. Rosenberg, also released a statement to Wrestlenomics.com regarding the ongoing legal battle involving Vince McMahon and Janel Grant.
“In January 2024, Ms. Grant, a 43-year-old with a law degree, who was in love with Mr. McMahon and devastated by their break-up, filed an outrageous and false lawsuit to ruin Mr. McMahon’s career and reputation. Now, her false allegations are slowly unraveling. Today, Mr. Laurinaitis’ attorney confirmed his client will corroborate Mr. McMahon’s account and expose the lies within the Complaint. Despite their intense efforts, Ms. Grant’s attorneys won’t be able to suppress the truth from coming out.”
Vince McMahon’s lawyer has also reacted to Janel Grant’s motion to strike. Therefore, we will have to wait and see how Vince McMahon and Janel Grant’s ongoing case will continue, as it will likely get messier.
