Tony Khan fell victim to an attack by The Elite last week on AEW Dynamite and this led to him sporting a neck brace in the end. He was not physically present on this week’s show and this led to The Elite taking over both episodes of Dynamite and Rampage this week. Following the conclusion of Rampage, The Young Bucks once again mimicked Tony Khan.
Khan announced on Dynamite this week that he would be producing the show remotely due to injuries he sustained. However, he was suddenly cut off by The Young Bucks. The Bucks spoke about their attack on Khan, speculating whether they would be fired for assaulting the company’s president.
They revealed that they wouldn’t face consequences because of a clause in their EVP contracts. To make matters worse, they announced that they would be taking over Khan’s role and running the show themselves.
Obviously, they abused their roles as EVPs by destroying Kenny Omega to close Dynamite and would further insult him on Rampage, as Omega was being stretchered to an ambulance.
Matthew and Nicholas Jackson took to Twitter following the conclusion of AEW Rampage this week as they once again mimicked Tony Khan’s stereotypical tweets
”What a great 3 hours of @AEW tonight w/ #AEWDynamite & #AEWRampage! Another fantastic cliffhanger ending, highlighted by the return of @KennyOmegamanX ! Thank you everyone for tuning in!”
The Young Bucks did a similar thing last week on Dynamite as well. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen how AEW will continue to book The Elite’s takeover of the company, as fans are definitely intrigued by what they have watched this week.
