The Rock and Roman Reigns triumphed over Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 Saturday, in what was The Rock’s first match in over a decade.  A report claimed The Rock was several hours late for his match and it appears this was correct. In fact, The Rock manipulated rehearsal time after being late for WrestleMania 40.

In case you forgot, The Rock faced criticism for his tardiness during events leading up to WrestleMania 40. According to two insiders who spoke with TheWrap, Johnson arrived three hours late before his main event match at WrestleMania 40. Similarly, he was two hours behind schedule for WWE World, the WWE fan event in Philadelphia leading up to WrestleMania 40, resulting in boos from the crowd and negative feedback from local Philadelphia media.

This would lead to The Rock uploading a post, where he revealed he was at WrestleMania 40 rehearsing for his entrance at the Showcase of The Immortals. One would imagine this was proof he was not late, but there is more to this story than initially thought.

Ringside News asked a WWE source regarding The Wrap’s report concerning The Great One being hours late for WrestleMania 40 and his subsequent post about rehearsing for the match.

We were specifically told that The Wrap’s report busted The Rock on his unprofessionalism. It was further added that The Rock actually manipulated the rehearsal time by pushing it to the very last minute, which meant he was technically not late, as he used his power as a TKO Board member.

”Tough to be late for rehearsals when you can push it to the very late minute, so no, he was not technically late.”

This revelation sheds light on The Rock’s reputation for being difficult to work with. Allegedly, his lateness has cost others, including ‘Red One,’ a substantial sum, rumored to be around $50 million. Despite his undeniable star power, The Rock’s behavior has sparked criticism and frustration among colleagues.
