Kenny Omega had been sidelined due to diverticulitis for several months but finally returned on AEW Dynamite this week. Unfortunately, The Elite ended up destroying him on the show and now it appears Jack Perry sent a scathing message to Omega.

On the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega returned for the first time since December. He spoke about his ongoing recovery from diverticulitis when The Elite (The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada) launched a surprise attack. Omega was put on a stretcher, and The Elite continued their assault backstage.

In a digital-exclusive interview, Jack Perry spoke about the brutal attack on Kenny Omega, delivering a scathing message. Jack Perry made it abundantly clear that The Elite doesn’t need Omega at all.

“Kenny Omega, is this the best that you got? You know, you’re not as bad as you think you are. But I hope that you had fun, hitting all your old moves in your hometown for what’s probably the last time in your entire life. The thing that hurts me the most, Kenny, is that you were not the hero that we needed you to be. When it came down to it, you were a coward, like everybody else. The truth is, The Elite doesn’t need you anymore. Neither does AEW. Because we are going to change the world without you. We all have to sacrifice, and you just made yours.”

We’ll have to see how AEW plans to orchestrate The Elite’s takeover of the company in the coming months, as it has become increasingly clear that this story will culminate in an Elite vs. Elite showdown at some point.
