Absent WWE NXT Star Received Large Ovation After In-Ring Return

Wendy Choo, who joined WWE in 2019 and eventually adopted her signature sleepy gimmick, had been absent from in-ring action for a while. However, she made her return during the NXT Level Up tapings this week. Following her comeback, it appears she got a large ovation.

Wendy Choo had not competed since the May 19th, 2023 edition of NXT Level Up but it was then reported she was set to make her in-ring return during the NXT Level Up tapings scheduled for April 30th.

Wendy Choo squared off against Wren Sinclair in the bout and definitely impressed many in her first match in almost a year. In light of this, Fightful reports that Wendy Choo received a significant ovation during her match at NXT Level Up, marking her return to the ring after a long absence.

It was also added that Wendy Choo was overcome with emotion following her tremendous in-ring return and it’s not really hard to see why.

We’ll have to see how WWE plans to use Wendy Choo in the coming months now that she’s back doing what she loves. Fans are eager to see her succeed, regardless of how she’s booked.
