Drew McIntyre Reasons for Prolonged Delay in Signing WWE Deal

Drew McIntyre’s future with WWE has been a topic of much speculation, with reports suggesting that his contract was set to expire this year. For a considerable period, there was uncertainty about whether he would renew his deal with WWE. However, it has been confirmed that McIntyre has signed a new contract, putting an end to the uncertainty about his status with the company.

As previously noted, Drew McIntyre was exploring various options as his contract expiration date approached. Nonetheless, many fans were convinced that there was no conceivable way McIntyre would depart from WWE. That turned out to be true as Drew McIntyre finally signed new deal with WWE.

While speaking on the Pat McAfee show, Drew McIntyre talked about signing a new deal with WWE. Addressing rumors about his possible departure from WWE, McIntyre clarified that he never intended to leave. He explained that he had been working through some personal matters, and once resolved, he felt confident in staying with WWE. He credited Nick Khan and Triple H for their understanding during his negotiations, highlighting the supportive environment within the company.

McIntyre also mentioned that The Rock’s endorsement was a significant moment, as it’s the first time The Rock made such an announcement for a WWE Superstar. This support added to McIntyre’s resolve to continue his journey with WWE and pursue his goals within the company.

”At the top, there are a lot of things going on, a lot of opportunities if you get to the top. I’ve been to the top and whatever people are trying to stop me getting to the top, it’s not gonna happen. If you try to politic your way ahead of me, I’ll just beat you down and I’ll get myself ahead of you. I’m too big and wise and that’s why I’m staying with WWE for the forseeable future. I wasn’t gonna go anywhere, if anyone was unsure reading those internet rumors, we were just in a place where I just had to get things right with my family. I got with Nick Khan and Triple H, they were so understanding. Drew McIntyre is never gonna leave WWE and it’s awesome The Rock made that announcement, it’s the first time he ever did that for any WWE Superstar.”
