Matches & Segments Announced for 5/7 WWE NXT

The two-week extravaganza of the NXT Spring Breakin event concluded on tonight’s edition of NXT in the Capitol Wrestling Center with spectacular bouts, jaw-dropping announcements, and setting the tone for next week’s show with an exciting match and two important announcements.

The start of the show saw new NXT Champion Trick Williams confronted by Lash Legend who had a secret envelope that was related to Williams’ title reign. Next week, Trick would join the Supernova Sessions with the Meta-Four faction to unravel this mystery.

On the other hand, General Manager Ava announced that an NXT combine will come into place to scout 12 NXT stars who will compete in qualifiers with the winners moving to NXT Battleground to square off in a ladder match to crown the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion, with the combine coming into effect next week.

Elsewhere, following his return to NXT at the end of a hard-hitting title match tonight, Wes Lee will have his first match back since injury against Josh Briggs who would not let him skip the line to lay claim to a title opportunity.

Finally, as the show concluded, Ava and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez were in her office. The GM made a huge announcement that Perez would defend her title against SmackDown star, Chelsea Green which was followed by the enthralled Green’s appearance to close the show.
