While Tony Khan has never been seen in the squared circle before, the CEO of AEW ended up getting assaulted on the 4/24 episode of AEW Dynamite. The assault was initiated by Jack Perry which was then continued by Kazuchika Okada and The Young Bucks.
Though Khan’s health update wasn’t received, he was spotted during the 2024 NFL Draft fashioning a neck brace. While he made Jacksonville Jaguars make their draft selections, he did get a lot of attention for his neck brace with everyone wishing him a speedy recovery while he was busy picking out names in the war room.
Addressing his appearance on the NFL Draft with a neck brace and further grabbing a lot of attention around the world, Tony Khan during an interview with Mojo Rawley on TMZ Sports stated that AEW got tons of coverage from the NFL Draft. He also stated that it wasn’t easy for him to make the calculations for the Jaguars due to the attack.
“I’m glad that it was so much attention for AEW. It’s a really exciting time for the company. A lot of people have been introduced to AEW this week and I know that we had a great audience for our show on Saturday.”
While Tony Khan’s injury doesn’t seem to be legitimate, it might take a few weeks for him to get out of the neck brace. It would be interesting to see how things play out in the coming weeks. Ringside News will keep you updated with this story.
