The 2024 WWE Draft kicked off during this week’s episode of SmackDown. The event began with a lot of anticipation and quite a few changes were made, but it appears some particular tag team will remain together after the draft.
Following the February 9 episode of WWE SmackDown, viewers were treated to vignette featuring Cedric Alexander and Ashante “Thee” Adonis discussing their newly formed partnership.
However, the two haven’t actually done much together even now, despite all the hype. While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp reported that WWE plans to have Alexander and Adonis as a tag team after the draft.
“They are planned to stay together as of right now.”
Cedric Alexander’s most recent televised match saw him face off against Bron Breakker, where he got demolished in mere seconds. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see whether the tag team will eventually build momentum somewhere down the line.
