Miro has been a part of AEW since 2020, making an impact with his strong performances and capturing the TNT Championship during his tenure. Despite this success, his overall accomplishments in AEW have been limited, and his absence from the ring in recent times has led to questions about his status and future in the company.

During AEW Worlds End last year, Miro achieved a significant victory over Andrade El Idolo in a singles match, following a shocking betrayal by CJ Perry, who turned against Andrade during the match. Despite this major win, Miro has been absent from AEW television since then, leaving fans wondering about his current status and future in the company.

AEW President Tony Khan recently disclosed during the AEW Revolution media call that he had initially planned for Miro and Keith Lee to participate in the Meat Madness match at Revolution. However, these plans had to be abandoned because both Miro and Keith Lee were unavailable for the event.

While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp reported that AEW hoped Miro would have made his in-ring return a couple of months ago but he is behind schedule at the moment.

“They were hoping he would be back a couple months ago but he’s behind schedule.”

Miro also vows to come back stronger than ever while he remains absent due to injury. Only time will tell when the Bulgarian Brute will be able to make his triumphant return to AEW television.
