The Rock is a man with many talents including his prowess inside the squared circle, under the bright lights of Hollywood, multiple business ventures, and also a classic music talent as seen on WWE television programming.
The Rock’s musical talent has been evident with his popular ‘Rock Concerts’ that made its return on the road to WrestleMania 40 driving insane viewership and has been considered a highly entertaining act in WWE.
The Final Boss took to his Instagram to shed light on his early music aspirations that were turned down by the popular country music lounge, Tootsies when he was only 15 years old and tried to make it as a country singer.
Years later, he spoke about betting on yourself alongside Chris Janson and always moving forward when turned down. During the same interview, The Rock was shown a video from the Tootsies personnel, firstly apologizing for rejecting him and inviting him to their lounge for a musical act, much to his delight in a full circle moment.
Me and @thechrisjanson always talk about betting on yourself. We gotta bet on ourselves and take that big swing — you might fail and get turned down, but at least you have it a real shot and tried.
I was 15yrs old, broke as hell and living in a motel room in Nashville. Had the bright idea that I was gonna become a country music star. Went down to the world famous, @tootsiesvip where all my country heroes first got their starting gigs.
I was kicked out because I was 15
(but looked like I was 57 😂)I was super disappointed, and moved on to the next, but for the rest of my life, I never stopped trying.
This Tootsies surprise video shown to me from my buddy @kevinfrazier blew me away.
What a crazy blessing how sometimes life can come full circle ⭕️
Love ya back, Tootsies Orchid Lounge – I’ll see ya on stage..
and I’m sure I’ll be a little drunk 🥃
The Rock went on hiatus following the night after WrestleMania 40 after an intense confrontation with Cody Rhodes. So we will have to wait and see when The People’s Champion makes his return and possibly brings back his Rock Concerts one more time for the WWE Universe.
