Drew McIntyre became a major star in recent months thanks to his incredible social media game, and it is simply a fact he is a true company man and works to the best of his abilities no matter what. However, The Scottish Warrior will be taking time off WWE television due to his elbow injury.

Things just haven’t been the same for Drew McIntyre after he lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Damian Priest at WrestleMania 40. While he has made more television appearances and even competed in matches, he is not 100% healthy right now.

As previously reported, Drew McIntyre is currently dealing with a badly hyperextended elbow and was working injured during WWE’s latest UK tour.

PWInsider reports that Drew McIntyre will not be returning to television immediately, as he is still recovering from a severely hyperextended elbow. Despite his injury, McIntyre gained significant respect from WWE for his dedication, as he continued to work through the issue during last week’s UK Tour.

In the meantime, Drew McIntyre finally signed a new deal with WWE and we have also reported when the two parties came to terms on a new deal. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see when The Scottish Warrior will make his triumphant return to WWE television.
