Nia Jax’s return to WWE has been nothing short of triumphant, marking a remarkable resurgence in her career. After her departure in 2021, she reemerged onto the scene last year and has since been making waves and made her presence felt on SmackDown this week. Jax has now broken her silence on the matter and sent a message to the WWE Women’s locker room.
On this week’s edition of SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton caught up with General Manager Nick Aldis to express her desire to enter the title picture. In response, Aldis, following the champion’s suggestion, set up a match between Tiffany Stratton and Naomi, with the winner earning the right to face Bayley for the championship.
The match was a highlight of the WWE Draft night, with both women competing fiercely. For Naomi, it was an opportunity to earn another title shot after her previous match ended without a clear winner. For Stratton, it was a chance to climb the WWE ranks by positioning herself as a contender for the championship.
As the match unfolded, unexpected chaos erupted when Nia Jax attacked Bayley, who was providing commentary. Jax’s presence caused further disruption, as she assaulted Naomi at ringside, leading to the match ending in disqualification. In the midst of the chaos, Tiffany Stratton delivered a breathtaking moonsault onto both Naomi and Bayley, leaving the champion without a clear challenger for the upcoming WWE Backlash event.
While speaking in an interview after Friday Night SmackDown this week, Nia Jax made it abundantly clear that she was welcoming any repercussions after her attack during the show.
”I think it was pretty clear, Byron. I welcome any repercussions that come from that attack.”
We will have to wait and see whether Nia Jax will end up challenging for the WWE Women’s Championship at the Backlash, as that seems to be the direction at the moment.
