The emergence of Cody Rhodes as a central figure in WWE has created significant excitement and set the tone for a new era in the company. Since his return, Rhodes has been a pivotal part of WWE’s storylines and a major draw for audiences. As WWE continues to explore new opportunities for expansion, one of the most talked-about topics is the venue for future WrestleMania events.
Recently, London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan expressed a desire to bring WrestleMania to the United Kingdom, specifically to London. This suggestion has garnered considerable attention, as WrestleMania is WWE’s flagship event, drawing fans from around the world. The idea of holding it in a major international city like London has fueled speculation and discussion within the wrestling community.
“London is a world leader in major sports events and has been at the heart of some of the most memorable sporting moments of the last few decades. From the Olympics, to the Lionesses winning the Euros at Wembley, to the Ashes at Lord’s and The Oval, London is where it’s at. If I’m re-elected on 2 May, I’m determined to go even further and fully cement London’s reputation as the undisputed sports capital of the world. I believe that London has the potential to host the first international WrestleMania. In the meantime, my message to anyone travelling to the Paris Olympics this summer is to include a visit to London in your itinerary, to enjoy all that our city has to offer.”
WWE COO and Head of Creative Triple H took to Twitter and commented on Sadiq Khan’s desire to host WrestleMania in the United Kingdom. Triple H made it clear he is open to talking with Khan.
”Let’s talk.”
Even Cody Rhodes advocated for The United Kingdom to host WrestleMania in the future. Therefore, only time will tell whether The Showcase of The Immortals will make its way to London somehow.
