This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite concluded with a jaw-dropping moment as The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada orchestrated a surprising attack on AEW President Tony Khan.
In the final segment of the show, Perry and Khan appeared to reconcile, with Perry expressing his desire to wrestle in AEW and contribute positively to the promotion. Khan seemingly agreed to reinstate him, only to be unexpectedly struck by Perry. The Young Bucks then delivered their finishing move on Khan, marking the first time Khan has been physically involved in such a manner within his own promotion.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Khan remained committed to his role and sold the effects of the attack not only at the end of the show but also throughout the night, even on a closed set.
Following the incident, AEW taped the Parking Lot Brawl featuring Chucky T and Trent for Saturday’s Rampage at Daily’s Place. Khan was present on the scene, visibly wearing a neck brace and selling the effects of the attack on his neck.
Some wrestlers have speculated whether Khan would continue wearing the neck brace for any on-camera appearances related to the NFL Draft in the coming days.
