From its inception, AEW’s Women’s Division has encountered criticism, with fans voicing concerns about the lack of focus. Some believe that Tony Khan, the head of AEW, might not have given the division as much attention as other parts of the promotion. Despite this, AEW’s female wrestlers have taken a stand against the skeptics, addressing their unfair treatment in a recent video.
However, the women of AEW have often been subjected to undeserved criticism and negativity. Earlier this year, the AEW women’s division released a series of videos expressing their frustration with the constant dismissal and belittlement from critics. Now, they’re speaking out once again, standing up against the unfair treatment and making it clear that they won’t tolerate being sidelined.
Clearly, they were not done with all the calling out as Saraya took to Twitter and uploaded another video, which featured the likes of Saraya, Thunder Rosa, Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander, Ruby Soho and others.
Various creepy fans were outed in the video, including stalkers who find the female wrestlers’ home addresses and send letters. Another point that was raised was men thinking they could touch female wrestlers just because they purchased a ticket. A big point was people criticizing how female stars looked all the time.
Whether Tony Khan will address these concerns and implement the necessary changes remains uncertain. Meanwhile, it is hoped that the hardworking women of AEW can continue to showcase their talent and accomplishments without being overshadowed by negativity
