Kevin Nash, known for his candid opinions, hasn’t shied away from sharing his views on the current state of professional wrestling. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer is renowned for speaking his mind and doesn’t hold back when critiquing the modern wrestling scene and this includes AEW.
During the latest episode of “Kliq This,” Kevin Nash offered his perspective on the 4/15 episode of WWE RAW and the 4/17 episode of AEW Dynamite. Nash was critical of both shows, providing his candid thoughts on Tony Khan’s decision to air the CM Punk footage from nearly three weeks ago. He acknowledged that Khan has the freedom to do what he wants, but Nash expressed his opinion that the AEW product can be challenging to follow.
“You know, it’s his ball. He can kick it. He wants to go kick it over onto the f***ing freeway, then kick it on the freeway. I’ve got no skin in that game, but it’s just a very hard show to watch. It’s very hard to get involved. It just feels so fragmented.”
Kevin Nash continued reviewing the recent episodes of WWE RAW and AEW Dynamite, expressing his desire to see the company grow into a more successful and improved product.
“In all honesty, man, I absolutely want AEW to succeed. Number one, I’ve got friends that work there, you know, in production and in all different aspects, not just guys that are there in front of the camera. And I think they’re being a viable option is huge for the longevity of the business.”
AEW’s ticket sales dropped to TNA levels this year as well. We will have to wait and see whether AEW will improve its product as the Dynasty pay-per-view was certainly the shot in the arm AEW needed.
