On the April 23 episode of WWE NXT, Karrion Kross delivered a promo that highlighted The Final Testament’s mission. He spoke about their goal to bring everyone back to the “good old days” when they left everyone beaten and broken, emphasizing the group’s aggressive and destructive intentions. During this promo, a video package played, showcasing highlights from Kross and The Authors of Pain’s previous stints in NXT, harkening back to the Black and Gold era, a period known for its intense and hard-hitting style.
Karrion Kross continued to promote The Final Testament’s mission by sharing a nostalgic post on Twitter/X. In the tweet, he posted a picture of the group in NXT, referencing their time during the Black and Gold era. Alongside the image, Kross wrote that “Black & Gold never dies,” emphasizing the group’s intent to revive the gritty and intense spirit that defined NXT during that period.
