Sheamus made his in-ring return to Monday Night RAW last week, marking his first match since facing former WWE Superstar Edge on SmackDown last summer. After the events of RAW this week, Sheamus made it clear he is coming after the Intercontinental Championship.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre engaged in a war of words regarding their recent struggles, as it became evident they were still the best of friends.

While speaking on RAW Talk after this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Sheamus was asked about his confrontation with Drew McIntyre and what’s next for him. Sheamus admitted that he and McIntyre are still best friends.

“I don’t know, Cathy, I’m just back, you know? I’m still shaking off the rust, and having two back-to-back wins is just amazing. I’ve been out for eight months—feels like a long time. Just before I left or got injured, we had a Celtic Warrior Workout. I think I’m still recovering from that, honestly. Not sure why I’m scratching my head, but here we are.

I’m trying to talk some sense into Drew. He’s my best mate; I’ve known him for 20 years, but he’s acting like a total muppet, sitting in the ring and complaining. What’s he doing? He’s living the dream! We’re both living the dream! I thought this was over eight months ago, and now I’m back, doing what I love every week. It’s a blessing, really, and I’m just trying to snap him out of it. He’s obsessed with punk —I don’t know why—but I’ve got to focus on myself. ”

Regarding his future plans now that he is back for good, The Celtic Warrior made it clear that the Intercontinental Championship is still his main priority and till then, he is just enjoying the moment.

”The King of the Ring tournament is coming up. I won it back in 2010, which was awesome and part of my accolades. And the Intercontinental Championship? It’s so close, just within reach. It’s the one title I need to complete the set.

So, my main priority since returning? The Intercontinental Championship. I’m enjoying the ride, the fans are great, and I’m just having a blast.”

We will have to wait and see whether The Celtic Warrior will be able to become the new Intercontinental Champion one day, as fans simply want him to have a good run and fulfil his goal.
