The ongoing rivalry between the two big wrestling giants in the world, WWE & AEW always takes the forefront with war of words by their roster members. This time it was ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm who fired it off at WWE’s possible next flagship star, Cody Rhodes.

As the world saw at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes did the unthinkable by dethroning The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and ending his record-setting title reign to win the Undisputed WWE Championship and finish the story.

Following the victory, a bunch of top WWE stars gathered in the ring for Cody’s coronation moment. Moreover, Rhodes also invited WWE CCO Triple H and Bruce Pichard down to the ring to join his celebrations, crediting them for bringing him back to WWE and giving him the opportunity to succeed.

It was exactly that moment that Toni Storm picked to take a jab at AEW’s rivals. Following her successful AEW Women’s World title defense at AEW Dynasty against Thunder Rosa, Storm was a part of the post-event media scrum with AEW President Tony Khan. While speaking to the press, she outrightly stated that even if she finished multiple stories, she would never invite Tony Khan to the ring to celebrate with her.

“Anthony… I promise you no matter how many matches I win, no matter how many stories I finish, I’ll never call you into the ring to celebrate with me.”

As for Cody Rhodes, he is set to defend his WWE Title against The Phenomenal One AJ Styles at the upcoming PLE, WWE Backlash France after he defeated LA Knight to become No.1 Contender on SmackDown last week. Meanwhile, Toni Storm moves forward as a dominant champion looking to welcome new challenges from the AEW women’s division.
