The two superheavyweights, top stars, and close friends, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus faced off against each other in a tense confrontation on tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW bringing up each other’s recent struggles.

The segment began with Drew McIntyre coming down to the ring to address recent events that caused his downfall, courtesy of his heated rival, CM Punk doing it by sitting in classic Punk style in the middle of the ring, while also announcing his participation in the upcoming King of the Ring tournament.

As The Scottish Warrior continued to reflect on his misery, Sheamus interrupted the proceedings to speak to his long-time friend, Drew McIntyre. Looking to be more of a well-wisher, The Celtic Warrior explained that his ego and hatred for Punk got the best of him at WrestleMania 40 leading him to lose the World Heavyweight title in 5 minutes. He then urged McIntyre to let go of his obsession with CM Punk and focus on the future.

McIntyre, however, chose to instead use his social media menacing antics on Sheamus instead of listening to him. In classic style, he brought up the social media banter surrounding Sheamus’ weight gain and fat shaming by a certain section of fans ever since he made his return to the ring last week on RAW after eight months.

The segment concluded with McIntyre stating that he had his friend’s back and would be around ringside as Sheamus’ opponent for the night, Shinsuke Nakamura made his way to the ring for their bout.
