Dominik Mysterio has not been having the best of time for the last few weeks since WrestleMania 40 came to its conclusion. This week, things still did not change for the Dirty One as it appears that he has suffered an injury.
The month began with Dominik Mysterio suffering a huge tag team defeat alongside Santos Escobar against their heated rival and Dom’s father, Rey Mysterio, and Andrade El Idolo at WrestleMania 40.
Last week on RAW, Dom Dom had to bid farewell to his Mami, Rhea Ripley for a few months after she suffered a shoulder injury at the hands of Liv Morgan and vacated the WWE Women’s World Title to begin her rehabilitation process.
In a backstage segment with his Judgment Day members JD McDonagh and World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest on tonight’s edition of RAW, Dominik appeared onscreen sporting an arm sling and noting that he was “a little banged up.” Looking at his situation, he had Santos Escobar replace him in his tag team match set for the show alongside JD McDonagh.
Furthermore, according to the latest report by Fightful Select, Dominik Mysterio was also taken off the European Tour, possibly suffering the injury around that timeline, and replaced by Ricochet on the tour and his injury appears to be legitimate instead of work.
“Last week, Fightful Select reported that former NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio was off the European tour, and replaced by Ricochet. We’d also reported tonight that Santos Escobar was set to team with JD McDonagh on WWE Raw instead of Dominik as previously advertised. Dominik Mysterio appeared on WWE Raw with a sling, in what we’re told is a legitimate injury. We’ve not heard of a timetable for his return as of yet. We wish Dominik a speedy recovery.”
Moreover, the report also stated that a timeline regarding his return to in-ring action was not heard about at the moment. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we continue to follow up on this story.
