Jeff Hardy’s tenure with AEW may be coming to an end sooner than anticipated.
Initially, when Jeff Hardy joined AEW, reports suggested that his contract alignment with his brother Matt Hardy’s would ensure their synchronicity. However, recent developments via Fightful Select have revealed a discrepancy in their contract timelines, although they remain closely aligned.
Matt Hardy made a cameo in TNA on April 20 following the expiration of his contract, emphasizing his status as a free agent. While his contract officially lapsed in March, it was extended by a couple of weeks beyond WrestleMania weekend.
Contrary to previous beliefs, AEW’s extension of Jeff Hardy’s contract into 2025, attributed to injury and sabbatical time, appears to be inaccurate as of late March. According to discussions among talent at recent conventions, Hardy’s contract is slated to conclude sometime in the spring.
“Originally, it was believed that AEW had extended Jeff Hardy’s deal into 2025 due to injury and sabbatical time. As of late March, that wasn’t the case. At that period, Hardy’s deal was set to expire sometime in the Spring, based on what Jeff Hardy told other talent at recent conventions.”
Despite this impending expiration, there remains a possibility for AEW to negotiate an extension of Hardy’s contract.
