It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! The AEW Dynasty go-home episode of Collision will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the April 20, 2024 episode.

AEW Collision Results (4/20/2024):

The show opens up with Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcoming us. TNT Champion “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night. We then get the remaining entrances of the opening matchup.

Trios Match: TNT Champion “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland, ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe and NJPW Strong Champion Eddie Kingston vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) and Action Andretti

The match starts off with Andretti and Briscoe. Both men does some redneck kungfu pose before engaging in some chain wrestling. Briscoe then puts Andretti in a side headlock, but Andretti responds with a headscissors. Andretti then hits a spinning tornado DDT on Briscoe, but Briscoe recovers and isolates Andretti in their corner. Copeland then tags in and he and Briscoe hit a shoulder tackle on Andretti. Andretti then rallies and tags Darius Martin in. After some back-and-forth, Martin gets couple of near falls and he follows it up with a dropkick. Dante Martin is then tagged in.

Copeland then rallies and tags Eddie Kingston in. Copeland then hits a chop on Dante Martin and tags Mark Briscoe in. Briscoe then gets a two count after some flurry of offense. Briscoe then hits a slam on Dante on the mat and tags Adam Copeland back in. Copeland then whips Dante and follows it up with lariats in the corner. Copeland then hits a big boot on Dante. Kingston is tagged back in and he hits a delayed vertical slam on Dante. Kingston then gets a two count after an elbow drop. Kingston then hits some chops on Dante and corners him.

Dante Martin then rallies and he hits Kingston with a tiharas and a jumping knee strike. Briscoe and Darius are then tagged in. Darius then unloads on Copeland and Briscoe and gets a two count on Briscoe. Andretti takes then hits a dive on Copeland. Mark Briscoe then hits Andretti with an exploder. Top Flight and Action Andretti almost get the win, but Adam Copeland breaks the count. All men then take each other out with double clotheslines. Mark Briscoe then hits the JayDriller on Martin. Copeland then hits the Spear on Andretti. Briscoe then hits the Froggy Bow on Andretti for the win.

After the match, all six men show a sign of respect to each other. House of Black then appear on the big screen and send a warning to their Dynasty opponents that their hopes will be destroyed tomorrow night. Malakai Black then tells Adam Copeland that he could be close to hell because for men like them hell is where the heart is.

We then get a video package hyping up the AEW World Title Match between Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe at Dynasty.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Don Callis Family’s Powerhouse Hobbs vs. CJ Esparza

The match starts off with Hobbs hitting Esparza with multiple slams on the apron before nailing him with the Torture Rack for the win.

After the match, Don Callis grabs the mic and says that his Family was the talk of the wrestling world. Callis then hypes the Bunkhouse Brawl Match for later on tonight and says he will not be at ringside for his own safety. Callis then takes credit for Kenny Omega’s IWGP World Title reign and says that he had a favor to cash in with New Japan officials. Callis then announces that the Hobbs/Moxley Match on Dynamite will now be for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

We then get a video package hyping up the dream match between “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay and “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson for Dynasty.

We then get a recap of the segment between FTW Champion HOOK, “Lionheart” Chris Jericho and Taz from Dynamite before we head to the back. Jericho says that the learning tree will teach HOOK the mistake he made of not accepting his advice, but it will make HOOK a better person in the end. Jericho then says it will hurt him more than it will hurt HOOK to take the FTW Title from him.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: AEW World Trios Champions The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) vs. ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Gunns (Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn)

The match starts off with The Acclaimed getting some offense early on, but Colten Gunn turns things around with stomps and a suplex on Max Caster. Austin Gunn then comes in and he throws Austin out of the ring. Austin then delivers some right hands to Caster in the corner before tagging Colten in. Caster has now been isolated in the corner. Austin Gunn then chokes Caster and makes quick tags with Colten. The Gunns then double team Caster before Colten Gunn puts him in a single leg Boston Crab. Caster then fights Colten off before tagging Anthony Bowens in.

Bowens then hits some rolling spinning elbow strikes on Colten and gets a two count with the Fameasser. Austin Gunn then briefly distracts Bowens. After a mix-up between Caster and Bowens, Colten almost gets the win with the help of the ropes, but the referee sees it. The Gunns then continue their antics and get some near falls on Anthony Bowens. The Gunns then look for the 3:10 to Yuma, but Bowens escapes. Max Caster then makes a blind tag, but gets hit with a Northern forearm strike. Caster then slams Colten on the mat and looks for a high-flying move, but Austin stops him. Bowens then comes in with the thrust kick. The Gunns then almost get the win with a Mic Drop on Caster. The Gunn then get the win with a roll up after Jay White assists Austin Gunn with the baseball bat.

We then head to the back, where “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson is with Lexy Nair. He says that Don Callis doesn’t have confidence in Will Ospreay, which is why Callis sent the Family after him. Danielson then says he feels alive and is excited for the Bunkhouse Brawl Match tonight and the match against Will Ospreay tomorrow night. Ospreay then shows up and says that he saw Danielson was slated for interview time. Ospreay then tells Danielson that he had nothing to do with the attacks. Ospreay then says he didn’t want Danielson to have any excuses for Dynasty, but Danielson left unconvinced.

We then get a video from AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm from after Dynamite. She says she wanted the video in full color so people could see how Thunder Rosa smeared lipstick all over her face. Storm then says that Rosa doesn’t want the title back because she never lost it, she wanted the title back because of how important Storm made it. Storm then says Rosa couldn’t drag her to hell because she made love to her demons every night.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is the Bunkhouse Brawl Match.

Bunkhouse Brawl: Blackpool Combat Club (“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Don Callis Family (ROH World TV Champion Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita)

The match starts off with The Don Callis Family getting the jump on the BCC during the introductions, which leads to a brawl through the crowd. The fight then spills to ringside, where Danielson chokes Fletcher out with a cable while Takeshita nails Castagnoli with the ring bell hammer. Castagnoli and Takeshita then brawls into the ring and follows it up with the Giant Swing. Danielson then hits a dropkick on Takeshita out of the swing, but Fletcher gets a steel chair and nails Danielson on his head to stop a dive. Fletcher then throws powder in Castagnoli’s face before hitting him with a Last Ride powerbomb for a near fall.

Danielson then avoids another brainbuster on the apron, but Fletcher puts him down again. Castagnoli then brings Fletcher into the stairs and repeatedly bounces his head into them. Danielson is now bleeding from the steel chair shot, but responds with some kicks on Takeshita. Danielson then goes for the Busaiku Knee, but Fletcher cuts him off. Fletcher and Takeshita then delivers some boots on the BCC before hitting stereo brainbusters for a near fall. Takeshita then goes for a chain-assisted forearm, but Danielson cuts him off. The BCC then delivers the hammer-and-anvil elbows on Fletcher and Takeshita before putting them in submission holds. Powerhouse Hobbs then interferes in the match and hits the BCC with spine busters, but Jon Moxley makes the save and brawls with Hobbs to the back. The Don Callis Family then looks to hit Danielson with a super powerbomb into a chair, but Danielson sends Takeshita into the chair instead. Castagnoli then hits Fletcher and Takeshita with chain-assisted uppercuts before Danielson hits Fletcher with the Busaiku Knee. Danielson then takes the chain and wraps it around Fletcher’s head before putting him in the LeBell Lock for the win.

After the match, Danielson grabs the mic and says that he knew people are wondering why he took this match. Danielson then says being in a pro wrestling ring was his version of heaven and having guys trying to break his neck before one of the biggest matches of his career made him feel alive. Danielson then tells Will Ospreay that he was going to beat his ass at Dynasty.

We then get a recap of the brutal attack on Willow Nightingale from Dynamite. Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale and Stokely Hathaway are backstage. Nightingale says that confident champions don’t attack their challengers with chains before title matches. Nightingale then says she will beat Julia Hart for the TBS Title tomorrow night.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Skye Blue vs. “Legit” Leyla Hirsch

The match starts off with Blue hitting Hirsch with a boot before nailing her with a neckbreaker off the apron. Hirsch then responds with a wheelbarrow German suplex, but Blue cuts her off on the top rope. Hirsch then hits Blue with a German suplex from the top rope for a near fall. Hirsch then goes for a springboard move, but Blue reverses it into a Dragon Sleeper for the win.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Trios Match.

Trios Match: The Elite (AEW Continental Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson) vs. “The Bastard” PAC and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)

The match starts off with PAC getting the early advantage on Kazuchika Okada by hitting him with some kicks. Cash Wheeler then comes in and hits Okada with a chop. The Young Bucks then save Okada, but FTR and PAC hit baseball slides on the opposing team. Kazuchika Okada and Dax Harwood then battle in the ring. After some back-and-forth, PAC flies in with a stomp from the top. PAC then puts Okada in a Rings of Saturn, but The Young Bucks attack him. All six men then begin brawling at the ringside area and FTR and PAC get the upperhand. Wheeler then delivers some strikes on Nicholas Jackson, but Matthew Jackson and Kazuchika Okada trips him and sends him to the ring post.

The Elite then dominate Wheeler and Okada follows it up with a drop kick. Matthew Jackson is then tagged in. After some back-and-forth, Wheeler makes the tag to PAC. PAC then gets some offense in, but The Elite outnumber him. PAC then takes The Young Bucks out with a dive to the outside. PAC and Dax Harwood then double team Okada to get a two count. PAC then goes for the Black Arrow, but The Young Bucks stop him. Okada then hits PAC with a kick. Okada then has the referee distracted and The Young Bucks assault PAC at the ringside area. The Elite then isolate PAC and Nicholas gets a two count after an assisted leg drop.

PAC then turns things around and hits a backbreaker on Nicholas. PAC then makes the tag to Dax Harwood. Harwood then comes in with a flurry of offense and he hits some strikes and chops on Nicholas. Okada is then tagged in, but Harwood hits him with a brainbuster. FTR then hits the tree of woe on The Young Bucks. Nicholas Jackson then gets triple teamed and Cash Wheeler gets a two count. Harwood and Okada are tagged in and Harwood delivers some strikes on Okada. Okada then goes for a Rainmaker, but Harwood escapes. The Young Bucks then hit a double enziguiri on the opposing team and The Elite get a two count after a series of moves. Dax Harwood then hits a superplex on Matthew Jackson and Cash Wheeler follows it up with a splash. PAC then hits a 450 splash on Matthew, but only gets a two count. The Young Bucks then hit PAC with the Shatter Machine, but only get a two count. The Young Bucks then hit the EVP Trigger on PAC, but Wheeler breaks up the count. After some back-and-forth, PAC hits Matthew Jackson with the Black Arrow for the win.

After the match, The Elite look to hand PAC and FTR a beatdown until Daniel Garcia makes his way down to the ring to make the save. The Elite then goes after Garcia, but this gives FTR and PAC a chance to recover. PAC then puts Okada in a standing Rings of Saturn, but The Young Bucks save Okada from further damage. The Elite then regroups on the stage as PAC, FTR and Daniel Garcia stand tall and Collision comes to a close.
