The wave of change continues to go through tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, emanating from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA with the presentation of new title belts for a winning team at WrestleMania 40, much like they did on RAW this week with the introduction of the WWE World Tag Team Titles.
WrestleMania saw the high-stakes 6-pack tag team ladder match go down with the team of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, collectively known as A-Town Down Under unhooking the SmackDown tag team titles first and becoming new champions.
On tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown, the captivating duo arrived on the blue brand after being welcomed by WWE CCO Triple H and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. The tag champions bragged about their supremacy and even showed disrespect to The Game as he unveiled the new WWE tag team titles.
Watching the disrespect, Nick Aldis immediately announced the start of the Fatal 4-Way tag team match that would determine the first challengers to A-Town Down Under’s championship reigns that could possibly, as Nick said, have the titles disappear from their grasps.
