For months now, WWE has been doing a tremendous job to keep their fans intrigued with fresher and better storylines. Not only that, but the company has also started developing their fanbase with international premium live events being hosted every now and then.

WWE returned to Australia for the first time in more than 6 years with Elimination Chamber 2024. A few months before that, the company made their return to Puerto Rico with Backlash 2023. In the coming months, WWE has planned a couple of more international events including Backlash 2024 and Clash at the Castle 2024

During a recent appearance at the SBJ Sports convention, Nick Khan stated that WWE had no plans to go international with the four big events of the year and WrestleMania. In a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer detailed that WWE had planned to keep five PLEs in the United States and Canada while going international for the others.

“He said that the new plan going forward is Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Money in the Bank, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series they want to do in the US and Canada with at least three of them stadium shows, and then all the other pay-per-views they want to sell overseas, which is, I guess, good and bad. I mean, one of the positives for me is that these overseas shows are early in the day. So just get them over with in the morning first thing in the morning. I mean, when you go to Europe, they’re, you know, early afternoon, and when you go to Australia, they’re actually the middle of the night. So you got to you know, and then you know, the Saudi shows are early morning. So it looks like probably seven pay-per-views a year are no longer in primetime.”

With this update, it is clear that WWE won’t stop making headlines all around the world with PLEs being hosted in different countries worldwide. With an event in France around the corner, it would be interesting to see if their trip to the country turns out to be record-breaking. Ringside News will keep you updated with this story.
