AEW is gearing up for its latest pay-per-view event, AEW Dynasty, scheduled for Sunday, April 21 at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. With a lineup already packed with top-tier matches and dream showdowns, the event promises to deliver high-octane action and a thrilling main event.
To ramp up excitement even further, AEW added a new trios match to the card on the go-home edition of AEW Dynamite for Dynasty. The match will feature a clash between current AEW World Trios Champions The Acclaimed comprising Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, and Billy Gunn, and the current ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions, the Bang Bang Scissor Gang faction, Jay White, Austin, and Colten Gunn.
During a recent media call with Ringside News, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that the winner of the match at Sunday’s event would be crowned the Undisputed Trios champions, suggesting a unification process is in motion.
“Khan stated that the victor of the Bullet Club versus Gold Acclaimed match on Sunday would become the undisputed trios champions, implying that a unification is indeed underway.”
Furthermore, he also mentioned that an injury occurred this week, leading to the delay in making this announcement. However, Khan did not disclose the identity of the injured individual or the severity of the injury.
