Sheamus made his in-ring return to Monday Night RAW, marking his first match since facing former WWE superstar Edge last summer on SmackDown. His comeback was highly anticipated, particularly following the announcement of his return the week prior. In fact, he made his WWE return sooner than planned.
Sheamus received an enthusiastic welcome from fans at this week’s Monday Night RAW in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Celtic Warrior competed in a hard-hitting match against the powerful superheavyweight, Ivar.
Despite his absence from the ring, Sheamus showcased his impressive abilities and toughness throughout the bout. He ultimately claimed victory by utilizing his signature kneecap move and sealing the match with a crushing Brogue Kick, marking his first win in months.
Sheamus took to Twitter and revealed that he initially intended to make his in-ring return after the WWE Draft later this month, but plans shifted, leading to an earlier comeback. He shared this information and addressed his fans in a lighthearted way.
”Ok Ok take your best shots.. Whalemus, Too Many Pies, etc.. and then we’re done with the photoshopping & shaming. I was aiming for the Draft & got an early call-up. My bad. On me. Been sleeping in the gym ever since SO watch this space 👊🏻 i appreciate the love too #Sheamoose”
Sheamus was also urged to consider retirement during his WWE hiatus. Sheamus also addressed looking out of shape during his return match earlier this week already, but clearly some people were not convinced. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see what’s next in store for The Celtic Warrior.
