Sheamus returned to in-ring competition on Monday Night RAW after a hiatus since his last match against former WWE superstar Edge last summer on SmackDown. His comeback was eagerly anticipated, especially after announcing his return the previous week.
The Celtic Warrior received a warm reception from fans at this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
In a hard-hitting match, Sheamus squared off against the formidable superheavyweight opponent, Ivar. Despite his time away from the ring, Sheamus demonstrated his exceptional skills and resilience during the bout. Ultimately, he secured the victory using his signature kneecap move and finishing with a devastating Brogue Kick, defeating Ivar and earning his first win in months.
After the match, Sheamus took to Twitter to express his gratitude to those who helped him prepare for his in-ring return. Among them were Gable Steveson and Fit Finlay. However, Sheamus faced backlash from fans for associating with Gable Steveson, prompting him to delete the tweet.
“It takes a village of unsung beautiful heroes to put any fighter in any ring whether it be a sports stadium or a sports hall.. thanks fellas for all you do 🫡 Sláinte!”
As for Gable Steveson, he remains absent from WWE television but is reportedly content with his current position. Moving forward, fans eagerly await how The Celtic Warrior will be booked in the coming months now that he has returned to active competition.
