Since their incorporation, WWE has been the most successful and entertaining wrestling promotions in the world. However, the company has never been more established and decorated than it is right now. Coming out of the WrestleMania 40 Weekend, fans are astonished to see the incredible storylines and exciting finishes, engaged to see what’s next.
The biggest competitor of WWE came into light in 2019 when Tony Khan launched AEW. With help from names like Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, and Cody Rhodes, AEW managed to add some star power to their roster, mostly taking in former WWE stars to draw attention.
While AEW has been a big challenger for WWE, the latter have still managed to maintain the quality of their content and get insane numbers every week. Forbes recently named the five most valuable combat sports promotions of 2024. While UFC turned out to be the most valuable, WWE’s $6.8 million worth made them the most valuable wrestling promotion worldwide. However, AEW was right behind WWE with a value of around $2 billion.

As per Forbes, AEW made $250 million in revenue last year while WWE managed to get around $1.33 billion. This ultimately proves that knocking WWE down as the most successful wrestling promotion in history isn’t easy. Ringside News will keep you updated with this story.
