Although Vince McMahon has left WWE due to the ongoing trafficking lawsuit, he continues to maintain connections with prominent figures in professional wrestling. As a significant and influential presence in the industry for decades, McMahon’s relationships with other wrestling professionals have remained intact.
On January 25th, Janel Grant, a former WWE staff member, initiated legal action against WWE, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon, alleging instances of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking dating back to March 2019. These allegations have tarnished McMahon’s reputation and triggered widespread condemnation within the industry.
According to NBC News, McMahon is still in contact with TKO board member Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The timing of Johnson’s appointment to the board coincided with the legal troubles that led to McMahon’s departure from WWE.
Additionally, McMahon remains in contact with John Cena. However, the specific nature of their discussions has not been disclosed. These continued relationships with high-profile wrestling personalities suggest that while he is no longer involved in WWE, some relationships he has forged during his time in the company are meant for life. Even then it is to be noted that Vince McMahon no longer receives vocal support within WWE.
In case you didn’t know, Vince McMahon is also assisting authorities with the investigation for his sexual trafficking lawsuit. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen what will become of Vince McMahon in the end, as things simply don’t look good for him at the moment.
