Vince McMahon made headlines back in June 2022 for all the wrong reasons after it was revealed that he secretly paid $3 million in hush-money scandal, but things are worse for him as he was hit with a sexual trafficking lawsuit. With that said, it appears McMahon has been cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation against him.
Vince McMahon is currently facing allegations of sexual trafficking and misconduct from former WWE employee Janel Grant. Her lawsuit claims McMahon distributed explicit content of her without consent, involving other WWE personnel, undisclosed executives, and wrestling stars, including an implication of Brock Lesnar in the legal proceedings.
As previously reported, Federal authorities are investigating sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations against Vince McMahon.
According to a report from NBC News and CNBC, Vince McMahon is reportedly cooperating with authorities during the ongoing legal matters surrounding him. A person close to McMahon has stated that the former wrestling executive believes no charges will be brought against him and that Grant’s civil case will be settled out of court.
Despite this, there has been no official comment from Nicholas Biase, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
On the other hand, a spokesperson for Grant’s attorneys has stated that there have been no settlement talks with McMahon, suggesting that there may be a discrepancy between McMahon’s beliefs and the stance taken by Grant’s legal team.
A new era has dawned in WWE with Vince McMahon no longer associated with the company, but that doesn’t mean McMahon will stop making headlines as the trafficking lawsuit is likely not going to end anytime soon.
