Since his return to WWE, Shawn Spears has taken on multiple roles beyond just being an in-ring talent.

After making the move from AEW back to WWE for a stint in NXT, “The Chairman” has not only been performing as an active wrestler for the company but has also been assuming responsibilities as a producer behind the scenes.

According to reports from Fightful Select, Spears has been multitasking since his return to NXT, particularly during his ongoing feud with Ridge Holland. Starting from the April 16 episode of the show, Spears has been fulfilling duties as a producer.

Spears began shadowing Johnny Moss, a highly respected producer and coach backstage at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL. during this week’s two-hour episode of NXT on USA. His involvement included assisting with the women’s matches featured on the program.

Among the ranks of former WWE Superstars working as producers behind the scenes in NXT are names like Matt Bloom, Oney Lorcan, and Wesley Blake.

As of now, it remains uncertain whether Spears will follow in the footsteps of Bloom, Lorcan, Blake, and others by transitioning from an active wrestler role to a permanent producer role.

As developments unfold, Ringside News will provide further updates on Shawn Spears’ role within WWE.
