Professional wrestling is now cool again, thanks to the incredible storylines and matches showcased every week. WWE has been selling out arenas in every city they host a show. On May 17, the company takes WWE Smackdown to Jacksonville, where a WWE event has not been hosted in a long time.
Speaking on Going Ringside, Grayson Waller expressed his excitement to bring ‘good wrestling’ back to the city. However, this was seemingly a shot at AEW who hosted numerous events in Jacksonville during the pandemic. Not only that, but the city also turns out to be the home of Jaguars, which is owned by the Khan Family.
Addressing the subtle shot taken at AEW, Dax Harwood fired back at Grayson Waller with an interesting comment. Replying to the Smackdown Tag Team Champion’s comment, Harwood stated that WWE would have to keep Waller out of action during the show if they wanted ‘good wrestling’ to return to the city.
“In that case, let’s hope they don’t give him a match”
Following Harwood’s comments, it won’t be a surprise if WWE gives a match to Grayson Waller at the show. It would be interesting to see how things turn out on WWE’s return to the city. Ringside News will keep you updated with this story.
