The Rock and Roman Reigns proved to be one of the most dominant Samoan duos in the history of WWE on the road to WrestleMania 40. However, another Bloodline family member believed that their alliance would explode down the road.
At WrestleMania 40, the legendary faction suffered a significant setback when Roman Reigns lost his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes with his 1316-day reign coming to an end. The aftermath continued on the following episode of SmackDown, where Jimmy Uso appeared to be ousted from the group after an attack by Solo Sikoa and the newest member of the faction, Tama Tonga.
WWE Hall of Famer and their family member, Rikishi recently shared his thoughts on the future of The Bloodline, on his podcast, “Rikishi Fatu Off The Top.” The former WWE Intercontinental champion suggested that The Bloodline might take a temporary step back to regroup, with other potential members waiting in the wings.
Furthermore, Rikishi also speculated about a potential scenario where The Rock turns against Roman Reigns, leading to both former WWE champions forming their own groups to go to war against each other.
This could result in a dramatic shift in the group dynamics, with various members taking sides in a massive match like WarGames and their rivalry culminating in a dream showdown between The Final Boss and Tribal Chief at next year’s WrestleMania.
“I think The Bloodline’s gonna kinda take a backseat for a minute, recoup for a minute. We do have other players that are lined up to able to come through. But again, The Bloodline will always be there. It just has to be the right angle, the right storyline. Who knows? I’m gonna go out and just throw this out there. I kinda see a WarGames. I kinda see somewhere down there The Rock turning on Roman Reigns. Rock becomes the heel, Roman comes back as a babyface. I kinda see The Bloodline family members spread up and take sides, and then I kind of see something huge as far as WarGames or some type of gimmick match, amongst each other. They would probably want to build that up for the next WrestleMania. To have that type of match being put together, it’d be nice to see that happen in the west coast because a lot our Polynesian culture, the west coast is island. Nothing but island people that are out here. Samoan, Tongan, you name it, a bunch of Polynesians, Hawaiian. So to be able to come out here and showcase that match in front of our people would be great.”
The Rock went on a hiatus following an intense confrontation with Cody Rhodes on RAW after WrestleMania 40, while Roman Reigns declared to rebuild himself a day after losing his title at WrestleMania 40. So we can surely expect the dynamics in WWE to change once both top stars are brought back into the fold.
