Chad Gable couldn’t challenge for the Intercontinental Championship against GUNTHER after his Gauntlet match loss last month, so he focused on training Sami Zayn to defeat GUNTHER. This week on RAW, Gable and Zayn went head-to-head for the title, but Gable lost the match. Afterwards, Gable turned heel on Zayn, attacking him and creating tension between them and now Akira Tozawa has reacted to Gable’s heel turn.

Sami Zayn expressed his appreciation to Chad Gable for his mentorship and training that helped him defeat GUNTHER at WrestleMania 40 and win the WWE Intercontinental title. To thank him, Zayn offered Gable a title match on Monday Night RAW.

Gable put up a strong fight, but Zayn retained the title with a last-minute Helluva kick. After the match, Gable initially showed sportsmanship by raising Zayn’s hand in victory and leaving the ring.

However, as Zayn went to celebrate with his wife, Gable attacked him from behind, continuing the assault outside the ring. The show ended with Gable locking Zayn in an ankle lock while he was on the top turnbuckle, leaving fans in shock as their friendship ended on such a terrible note.
