The new Undisputed WWE champion, Cody Rhodes had a lot of allies and backup on the road to WrestleMania 40. He wanted to return the favor tonight, only to be turned down respectfully by Main Event Jey Uso.
The American Nightmare came on tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW to reflect on recent events. Leaving WrestleMania 40’s victory in the rearview now, he channeled his focus toward his potential No.1 contender for WWE Backlash, either being LA Knight or AJ Styles, to be determined on this week’s episode of SmackDown.
Cody then took a minute to thank his WrestleMania Shield, Seth Rollins for his support on the road to WrestleMania 40. Following that, he addressed his former rival, The Rock, who did some reflecting of his own on social media yesterday, once again mentioning that he would make Cody Rhodes bleed again with him countering back to make Rocky bleed with him.
Rhodes finally addressed Roman Reigns’ absence and new developments surrounding The Bloodline with Solo Sikoa taking charge, betraying Jimmy Uso, and including new SmackDown star Tama Tonga in the faction.
Cody then brought out his ally Jey Uso, who was set to face Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. Sensing that the numbers game might infiltrate the bout, Rhodes offered to be his shield, only for the YEET man to politely decline the offer and want to take care of business on his own. Rhodes left the ring before leaving the door for him and Jey to YEET again in the future.
