This week’s SmackDown witnessed a dramatic shift within The Bloodline. Without Roman Reigns’ leadership, the group underwent significant transformations, including Solo Sikoa’s assertive decision to expel Jimmy Uso from The Bloodline. Additionally, WWE’s internal reaction to Tama Tonga’s debut has been disclosed.
In this week’s show, The Bloodline returned for the first time since Roman Reigns’ loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. However, their reunion took an unexpected turn when Tama Tonga launched a surprise attack on Jimmy Uso, shocking the audience.
In a surprising move, Solo Sikoa decided to side with Tama Tonga, teaming up with the attacker. Together, they targeted Jimmy Uso, appearing to seek retribution for his defeat against Jey Uso at WrestleMania.
Following SmackDown, Fightful Select offered insights into the backstage response to Tama Tonga’s major debut. According to their report, WWE was pleased with the positive reception Tonga received on television, particularly given his limited exposure in the United States before this appearance.
It was also noted that, unlike other surprise debutants in the past, Tama Tonga was not kept hidden backstage before his appearance on SmackDown.
Tama Tonga joining The Bloodline had been in the works for a long time now. We will have to wait and see how the storyline will play out, as fans are certainly invested in it in a big way.
