Update on Becky Lynch After Crushing Defeat at WrestleMania 40

Becky Lynch delivered one of the most enthralling performances of her WWE career at WrestleMania 40 Saturday against Rhea Ripley despite being under the weather and walking into the match less than 100%.

Despite that, The Man did not back down from WWE’s resident Mami and left it all in the middle of the ring in their high-stakes bout for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania.

But despite her best effort, Becky Lynch failed to dethrone Rhea Ripley, who hit a thunderous Riptide on The Man and pinned her shoulders to the mat for the three count to retain her championship and extend her title reign beyond.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Becky’s husband, Seth Rollins would be taking some time off, but not for long. He further added that Lynch is also believed to be on hiatus for the unforeseen future.

With the former WWE Women’s Champion possibly absent for an extended time period, we will have to wait and see if that would affect the star power of the RAW women’s division considering the drawing power and popularity of Becky Lynch.
