WWE’s pursuit of top Japanese star Giulia had been an ongoing saga, with many fans doubting that she would ever make the move to the promotion. Thus, it was a surprise when Giulia made her debut at NXT Stand & Deliver. With that said, Giulia also bid farewell to STARDOM today after wrestling her final match there.
Giulia has officially completed her final match with STARDOM, marking the end of an era for the popular Japanese wrestler. After becoming a free agent earlier this month, Giulia still had a few matches left on her contract with the promotion, including her April 12th bout at Korakuen Hall.
In her last STARDOM match, Giulia teamed up with her long-time partner Syuri to reform their tag team, Alto livello KABALIWAN. The duo faced Hanan and IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani in a match that ended in a 20-minute time-limit draw. Throughout the match, Giulia and Syuri showcased their chemistry and teamwork from their Goddesses of Stardom Tag Title reign in 2021.
After the match, Giulia addressed the STARDOM audience, expressing gratitude for their support during her four-year tenure with the promotion. She reflected on her time in STARDOM and expressed pride in competing for the company. Giulia also hinted at aiming for even greater heights in the future, saying goodbye with an “Arrivederci!” and a promise to see them again soon.
“STARDOM! Thank you for all the support these last four years, even after the peculiar way that I transferred organizations. I’m proud to have been able to compete in Stardom, and I’ll treasure this experience forever. From this moment forward, I’ll continue to aim even higher. And with that: Arrivederci! See you soon!”
The decision-making process behind Giulia’s NXT debut was also revealed. Nonetheless, now that her time in STARDOM is over, it’s likely she will return to WWE and become a full-time NXT star soon.
