Since she parted ways with WWE, Ronda Rousey has been revealing numerous inside stories and addressing current controversies revolving around the company. In a recent interview, the Baddest Woman on the Planet accused Drew Gulak of grabbing her sweatpants during a backstage interaction.
While Gulak revealed that he had accidentally touched her pant’s drawstring and immediately apologized for that, the allegations made WWE remove him from the 4/9 episode of WWE NXT. The company removed his name from No Quarter Catch Crew’s titantron and used Charlie Dempsey’s theme instead.
A few hours ago, an update from Dave Meltzer claimed that things didn’t look good for Drew Gulak. A new update from Fightful has detailed WWE’s decision to remove him from the NXT episode. The report also unveils that Gulak was set to be a part of the stars sitting ringside during the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, but his seat was removed.
“Drew Gulak is currently under scrutiny due to allegations of sexual misconduct levied at him by Ronda Rousey, and we have an update on Gulak’s status. As noted by many during last night’s NXT, No Quarter Catch Crew’s titantron was changed to omit Gulak’s name…Gulak was pulled from several appearances. Most notably, Gulak was removed from his seat at the Hall Of Fame after a producer noticed he was in attendance and in close proximity to someone close to Rousey’s inner circle of friends. Gulak was also not listed for the show on the internal rundowns, nor was he seen backstage at the taping on Tuesday. It was also noted that there was not to be any mention of Gulak on NXT last night…has also been told that there are no creative plans for Gulak at this time”
With WWE making massive decisions to remove him from TV for a while, it is clear that Ronda Rousey’s accusation has garnered a lot of attention. Ringside News will keep you updated with this story.
