On Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) are set to air backstage footage from AEW All In. While not explicitly confirmed, it’s implied that the footage will address the incident between Jack Perry and CM Punk.
The timing of this decision comes shortly after CM Punk shared his perspective on his AEW experience, including insights into what occurred at AEW All In, during an appearance on the MMA Hour.
When questioned by Raj Prashad of Uproxx about Punk’s comments and their influence on the decision to air the All In footage, Tony Khan responded, “That was interesting timing given where everything stands.”
Expanding on AEW’s rationale behind airing the footage, Khan provided further insight. “It’ll be a must-see segment when the Young Bucks play this footage and talk about what happened at Wembley Stadium and how it relates to what’s coming up next for the Young Bucks in AEW,” Khan explained. He emphasized that the segment will generate interest and shed light on its relevance to AEW Dynasty, the upcoming pay-per-view event.
Khan elaborated, stating, “For us, this is a decision based on the timing of our upcoming pay-per-view, AEW Dynasty, and given where the Young Bucks stand going into the World Tag Team Championship Tournament finals at AEW Dynasty.” He stressed that it was the appropriate moment for The Young Bucks to address the footage and discuss its significance for them and AEW moving forward.
At AEW All In, The Young Bucks faced off against FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler), with FTR emerging victorious. The two teams are scheduled to clash again at AEW Dynasty to determine the new AEW Tag Team Champions.
Ringside News will provide comprehensive coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
